Join us on Saturday, November 10 for the third concert in our 2018-2019 season. The young Italian pianist Gabriele Strata will perform works for solo piano by Beethoven, Chopin, Liszt, and Prokofiev.

About the Artist

Gabriele Strata was born in Padua, Italy in June 1999. He started playing piano at age 8, and music quickly became his primary passion. In 2017, at age 18, he graduated cum laude from the Conservatory of Music in Vicenza, where he studied with Riccardo Zadra and Roberto Prosseda.

Mr. Strata regularly performs throughout Italy and Europe. He has played in some of Europe’s most renowned concert halls, including the Royal Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and the Philharmonic Hall in Bratislava. His performances have been recorded and broadcast in Europe on the Sky Arts and Rai Radio 3 channels.

Mr. Strata is currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Piano Performance at the Yale School of Music under the guidance of Boris Berman. Earlier this year, he received the Charles S. Miller Award for the most outstanding pianist in the first year of study at Yale.

About the Concert

Core Memory is a non-profit community service organization based in southern Rhode Island. We present public concerts each month from September to June, featuring emerging artists from around the world. Our concerts take place in a modern home near the village of Peace Dale, in South Kingstown.

The concert is open to public. Seating is limited, so reservations are recommended. Doors open at 7:00 pm and the performance begins promptly at 7:30. After the concert, you’ll have an opportunity to meet the artists and learn more about their backgrounds, interests, and career plans.


Because we’re presenting a full season of concerts at considerable expense, we ask for donations at each performance. We accept donations in advance or at the concert. The suggested donation for this performance is $20 per person, but please give whatever you can afford. If you make an advance donation at the suggested level, we’ll reserve a seat for you at the event.
